January 23, 2012Datatel and SunGard Higher Education Close Transactions to Combine their BusinessesSAN FRANCISCO, FAIRFAX, Va., and WAYNE, Pa. – January 23, 2012 – Hellman & Friedman, Datatel+SGHE, and SunGard Data Systems today announced that the transactions to combine the businesses of Datatel and SunGard Higher Education have closed. As a result, more than 3,000 employees will be dedicated exclusively to delivering solutions to education institutions in 40 countries.
The newly formed company will have a new name, which will be launched in the first half of 2012. Until that time, it will be referred to as Datatel+SGHE. (more) |

December 07, 2011Datatel and SunGard Higher Education Combination Clears Regulatory ReviewSAN FRANCISCO, FAIRFAX, Va., WAYNE, Pa. and MALVERN, Pa. – December 7, 2011 – Hellman & Friedman, Datatel, SunGard Data Systems and SunGard Higher Education today announced that the proposed combination of Datatel and SunGard Higher Education has cleared Department of Justice review and the companies are preparing to close the transaction in the first quarter of 2012.
